Reindeer in Winter

The female reindeer keep their antlers through winter. So Rudolf the red nose reindeer is actually a girl. Reindeer eyes also go blue in winter.

Puffins

This is my puffin family. They are such entertaining birds, I wanted to capture their curious and social nature during breeding season.

On the island we live on there is a nest of Golden Eagles. The wing span of these birds is so impressive

This was sold to one of the world’s foremost experts on seals and Bearded Seals are one of her favourite seals. So no pressure.

Red Squirrel

There is a small population of Red Squirrels in northern Norway and I was lucky enough to see one in an lovely churchyard.

Otter

Otters are one of my favourite animals. When we were in North Carolina we spent a lot of time in the dinghy trying to spot the otter family in the area. On our last day the otters were herding fish against the side of the boat so all I had to do was go on deck and there they were.

Eider Duck

Eider duck – these colourful ducks raft up close by where we live.
